07th April, 2025 - The Sililo Foundation recently participated in a two-day training workshop, held on March 27th-28th, 2025, organised by the Zambia Federation of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (ZAFOD), the national umbrella Civil Society Organisation for Persons with Disabilities. The workshop was part of the RISE/E Project, implemented by Sightsavers International in partnership with ZAFOD.

The training aimed to strengthen the advocacy capacity of Youth Organisations of Persons with Disabilities, focusing on:

- Advocacy training and awareness of global and national policy frameworks
- Developing advocacy plans with clear, targeted messages for national and subnational stakeholders

The workshop provided a valuable platform for Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to learn from each other and establish meaningful connections. The Sililo Foundation looks forward to future initiatives that empower OPDs with knowledge and expertise in the field, further enhancing their advocacy efforts.
