The Sililo Foundation is delighted to have its Director of Education and Operations, Ms. Sandra Kaseke, attending the 2025 Global Youth Leadership Summit in Turin, Italy, running alongside the 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games in that country. The summit and the winter games will run from the 08th March, 2025, to 15th March, 2025.

Ms. Sandra Kaseke was among the two selected Leos of the Lions Clubs International to attend the summit and the winter games the entire Africa.

The Special Olympics World Winter Games represent a remarkable celebration of inclusivity in sports, highlighting the achievements of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

More than 1,500 athletes and Unified Partners will participate in eight sporting activities this year: Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, DanceSport, Figure Skating, Floorball, Short Track Speed Skating, Snowboarding, and Snowshoeing.

Since 2001, Global Youth Leadership Summits (GYLS) have driven a global legacy in creating inclusive communities and schools through the power of youth engagement. These global convenings of youth with and without ID always take place in conjunction with the World Games. Through the GYLS, youth tap into the energy, power and global diversity generated from being at the World Games to represent the youth voice in Special Olympics’ movement for inclusion, engage in cross-cultural exchange, and receive leadership training.

We are proud of Ms. Sandra Kaseke, and wish her all the best as she represents the Sililo Foundation, Special Olympics Zambia, and the Lions Clubs International, in Turin, Italy.
